Join us for an unforgettable evening as LoveWorks Academy celebrates Black History Month in 2024 with the theme "Action over Waiting." On Wednesday, February 28th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., parents, guardians, and community members are cordially invited to a unique experience of historical dramatizations presented in the form of a 'Wax Museum.' Witness historical icons come to life and impart their wisdom and knowledge on how we can navigate the future as a people. The dance team and drum line will perform African dance and African drums. The message is clear - the roadmaps to success are safe in the pages of historical context that some might not ever pick up. Tonight’s performances represent weeks of collaboration with our scholars and Dr. Kimberly Kokx and the LoveWorks Art Team: Ms. Gray, Ms. LeVells, Ms. AP, Mr. Boyce, and student team leaders. Doors open at 5:45 PM, first come seating with balcony seating available for overflow. Wednesday’s event has no cover, but we invite you to make a donation via our QR code on the attached flyer. We look forward to seeing you there! A special thank you to the Black Veterans of America and Mr. David Hall for their support in the month of February!
