About LoveWorks Academy for Visual and Performing Arts
Established in 2005, LoveWorks Academy is a K-8 public charter school focused on providing access to arts education to all students. Our school is community driven by the love of arts, life-long personalized academic empowerment, and overall community uplift. Our students are more than pupils! We identify the roots of their hopes, dreams, and struggles to make a meaningful connection with their heart. This approach often allows for our students to grow holistically while preserving their sense of self. At LoveWorks Academy, we make no excuses and maintain the highest standards with a clear focus on constant progression. We currently serve roughly 200 students from the Twin Cities and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
The LoveWorks Academy teacher role includes (but is not limited to):
Establishing an exemplary classroom culture that balances high expectations with love and empowerment.
Ensuring all students meet their individual goals by delivering rigorous and well-organized lessons, monitoring student progress and differentiating through personalized approaches.
Building trust and community via clear and timely communication with students and families.
Adhering to the commitment to “go beyond” to ensure each student is reaching their potential in a positive safe school environment.
Supporting arts education and initiatives


Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree required
- Meet The Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board requirements for the state Minnesota (tiered 1-4 licensure) in the Core Academic subject area being taught. Core Academic Subject Areas are:
- Elementary, English Language Arts, Science, Mathematics and Dance.
- 1-3 years experience preferred
